FAA Psychiatric Evaluations

As an FAA-qualified psychiatrist, I conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations for airmen seeking medical certification or re-certification. These evaluations are conducted in accordance with 14 C.F.R. § 67 and § 67.413(a), ensuring compliance with FAA regulations. The process includes a detailed clinical interview, review of relevant medical records, a mental status examination, and an integrated summary of findings. The evaluation aims to assess the airman's mental health history, current status, and potential impact on aviation safety.

Educational Background

I completed my undergraduate studies at Brandeis University, majoring in neuroscience and psychology. I then earned my medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – School of Osteopathic Medicine. Additionally, I hold a Master of Arts in Medical Science from Boston University. I completed my residency training at Temple University Hospital, where I served as chief resident. Furthering my expertise, I received a scholarship to train at the Philadelphia Psychoanalytic Center, completing coursework in psychodynamic psychotherapy.

Professional Experience

Currently, I serve as the lead psychiatrist at the Cheyenne VA Medical Center, where I work with veterans facing unique mental health challenges. My private practice in Denver offers online therapy, medication management, and consultation services, providing flexible care tailored to your needs.

Personal Life

Outside of my professional work, I enjoy traveling, running, reading, and spending quality time with my family.
